A. A solicitation in writing for goods and/or services requiring all bids to be sealed when  received and to be opened in public

Q. What is a ‘Request For Quote (RFQ)’?

A. A request for an oral or written price quote for goods and/or services may be used for purchases less than $7500.  Written request for quotations mailed to vendors will be handled in the same manner as an ITB

 Q. What is a contract?

A. A document stating the terms and conditions for acquiring goods and services.

Q. How can I obtain information about business opportunities with Alabama DMH/MR?

Information about business opportunities are sent out to vendors who are registered with Alabama Department of Finance, Division of Purchasing. Vendor registration application can be obtained from Division of Purchasing web page www.purchasing.state.al.us
